Apply Consumer Price Increase

The Apply Consumer Price Increase bulk action allows you to change the monthly recurring charge on multiple subscriptions based on the retail price index or consumer price index. This price increase can be for a service charge that is part of a price plan.

The CPI increase will only be applied to:

CPI price increase is not applicable to terminated subscriptions or subscriptions that are not connected.

Ensure you have the appropriate access rights for this bulk action to appear in the available options.

The following steps describe how to apply a consumer price increase bulk action.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have downloaded the Apply Consumer Price Increase Excel Template, and populated it with the data (either the MSISDNClosed Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number, often referred to as a Mobile Number. A number uniquely identifying a subscription in a mobile network. or Subscription Id) for the new subscriptions you want to create.

  1. From the CMPClosed Converged Monetisation Platform. The MDS Global product that supports customer care and billing for digital service providers. Bulk Action menu on the left-hand side, expand Bulk Actions and select Apply Consumer Price Increase.

  2. Enter an amount in the CPI Value field.
  3. Select either the Percentage or Fix Amount radio button, and the Fixed Date or Bill Cycle radio button.

  4. Enter a date from which the changes will apply in the As of Date field.

  5. Click Next.

  6. In the screen, enter a Notification Email and a Label.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In the next Apply Consumer Price Increase screen, you can select and upload the Excel template with the details of the subscriptions to which the Consumer Price Increase bulk action will apply.

  9. Click Browse, then navigate to and select the Excel file to upload.

    The name of file is displayed in the File Name field.

  10. The new bulk action has been created with a status of Not Confirmed. To initiate the action, click Confirm.

    You are taken to the Previous Bulk Actions screen where the new bulk action now appears.
