Global Outage Actions
The Global Outage Actions screen allows you to adjust the description and date/times of a global outage. It also lists all the scheduled processes, jobs, and daemons and allows you to set their post-outage actions.
Changing a Global Outage Description

Click the Edit hyperlink next to the description for the global outage.
The Add Global Outage pop-up appears.

Alter the Global Outage Description in the text box and click Next.
You return to the Global Outage Actions screen, where the description has been updated.
- Click Update to save the changes.
Changing the Date/Time of a Global Outage
- To alter the Date/Time From or Date/Time To for a global outage, select a date in the relevant date picker.
- Select a time in the relevant drop-down.
- Click Update to save the changes
Info: You cannot alter the Date/Time From for a global outage that is already in progress.
Global Outage Actions List
All scheduled jobs, processes, and daemons affected by a global outage are listed in a table layout under the following columns:
- Schedule Name - The name of the schedule affected by the global outage. Click the name hyperlink to go to the Schedule screen.
- Schedule Type - whether the schedule is for a process, job, probe
In the Administration Console architecture, a mechanism which allows for the execution of predefined queries and for the comparison of the results of those queries against pre-configured targets. Probes can be reviewed and managed via the Admin Console. or daemon
A computer program that runs as a background process, rather than being under the control of an interactive user.. - Reference - the name of the affected process, probe, job or daemon. Click the name hyperlink to go to the details screen for the item. Clicking a process name takes you to the Operating Monitoring dashboard,
- Next Scheduled Run Date/Time - the date and time when the affected process, probe, job or daemon will next be run, according to the schedule.
- Port-Outage Action - use the drop-down to configure the post-outage action for the affected item:
- Run Immediately - The item will be run as soon as the global outage has ended. If the outage ends before the next scheduled run, this action will not be taken.
- Follow Schedule - The item will not be run when the global outage ends. Instead it will wait until the next scheduled run.
Once you have set post-outage actions, click Update to save the changes.
