Recontracting
Recontracting is the function used in CMP
Converged Monetisation Platform. The MDS Global product that supports customer care and billing for digital service providers. when a price plan for a postpaid subscription
A billing entity that incurs a charge. Examples include a network attached device whose usage you want to measure and charge for, or a monthly software subscription is either changed or upgraded within an existing contract term, or the contract term has ended and a new contract started.
Any recontracting performed within contract may result in termination fees charged for the remaining charges of the old contract.
When recontracting, the subscriber
The end user of a network. starts a new contract term based on the contract associated with the new price plan. All plans will be available based on the sales channel through which the price plan change is being made.

The graphical user interface of the CMP that is typically used by Customer Service Agents to access CMP customer and billing data. In versions prior to CMP 8.0, this was called the CMP GUI.:

Select the Status hyperlink.
The Enquiry Source, Plan Type, Contract Term
The total length of the contract, and Terms and Conditions are all filters used to restrict the available price plans that the subscription can move to. -
Tick the Recontract checkbox if a new contract is to be started as part of the price plan change.
Early upgrade fees are applicable if recontracting within the early upgrade period, after the early upgrade term, but before the minimum contract term based on the remaining period of the contract.
